Alba Scots Pine Ale is a unique spruce and pine ale with a surprising flavor. Spruce and pine ales were introduced to Scotland by the Vikings and were very popular in the Scottish Highlands until the end of the 19th century. Alba is brewed to a traditional Highland recipe from Scots pine and spruce shoots picked during early spring. It is tawny brown in color and has a noticeable spruce aroma, some complex wood flavors and a long, lingering finish.
